2024 Recap

2024 is heading toward the end, and as we move towards 2025 I want to think back specifically on this podcast about what we have done in 2024 and where we want to go forward.

2024:

• We (Zach, Ryan, Ryan, and I) attended PAX East in Boston. We saw some great games (and some not so great ones), interviewed some developers on the floor of the show, and went out to a speakeasy called Suits and got some great drinks.

• Later in the year, Zach and I took a road trip out to Oaks Pennsylvania to attend our first Too Many Games convention. We shopped the dealers, played some new and old video games, and went out and got some Philly cheesesteaks with whiz. We met up with our friend Brent over at Goobertown Hobbies and hung out and learned from him. I also bought a prototype helmet that was used in the production (not screen worn) of The Journeyman Project 3: Legacy of Time. Created by Don Pennington and designed by Phil Saunders.

• We released an episode every Sunday, we even released Mornings with Mike, releasing some content we recorded with Mike Kaess back in the dark ages. 
  
• We haven't had any guests on in 2024 - though had Barry from Premium Edition on back in November of 2023 and Josh from Still Loading back in October of 2023 both in a year of this publishing of this article. 
  

What is next for Classic Gaming Brothers?

As I look towards 2025 there are a few things that I think will be fun. Though remember that we are inherently bad at doing things so I want to make sure expectations are set.

• I want to get any pending guests on and recorded with the show. I want to try and get some additional guests on either this year or early next year.
  
• I want to start maintaining this website a bit more - and part of that is with this blog. I have let this website slip a bit and will be working on it as time goes on as well as trying to get some long form writings out here. I was inspired by a number of blogs out there covering game play of games that aren't necessarily mainstream and I want this to be a place where Zach and I can put our own thoughts down regarding the games we enjoy.
  
• We're going to start an email newsletter - it will mostly be about various musings or shorter formed articles - but it will be another point of contact with our fans. Look forward to signing up for that. I joked with Zach before writing this that we will go backwards in time - so first we'll start a newsletter, then an E-Zine, and then finally we'll send physical mail out to everyone.
  
• Finally we'll still be releasing our weekly episodes throughout the rest of this year and into the foreseeable future.
